"ONTBIJT OP BED"
This is the title of the cultural side program of the Maastricht Antiquarian Book and Print Fair (MABP) 2013. Every year the MABP organizes a manifestation or exhibition which is related to books and prints. This year, the organization focuses on the turbulent sixties of the last century and especially on the Provo movement. The local events were held at the statue of the 'Meestreechter Geis'. The Provo movement also gave periodicals who fulminated against the established order. One of these periodicals was "Ontebijt op bed ("Breakfast in Bed") which in Maastricht in 1966 and 1967 saw the light. The organization of MABP will organize an exhibition of memorabilia focused on the graphical expressions of the editors of "Breakfast in Bed". Such as posters, pamphlets and a total of eleven editions of the periodical itself. We will keep you informed on this website. |
